Press Release Body = On its four month anniversary the Multicultural Business Council hit a major milestone by celebrating having members on all inhabited continents around the globe.
"This is far ahead of what we had planned," stated Rick Weaver, Chief Operations Officer for the Multicultural Business Council. "It shows the hunger and need the world has for bringing the hundreds of known cultures together for successful commerce."
African membership is centered in Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates; Asian members are located in Siberia and the Ukraine; Australian members have retail stores in Australia and New Zealand; European members represent Turkey, Italy, and the United Kingdom; North American members are located throughout Canada, Mexico, and the United States; and South American membership is centered in Brazil. The organization also has member representation in Central America and the Caribbean region.
To mark this milestone the organization has renamed its web site to reflect the new global impact. Formerly known as www.mbc-usa.org, the new website is www.mbcglobal.org. MBC leadership felt that the new web site address was better in keeping with the organization\'s goal of making all cultures feel welcome.
Founded earlier this year, MBC has a mission to help individuals and organizations understand the many cultures that flavor the world using commerce as its base. They seek to help organizations make employees of all cultures feel welcome and valuable and to help all those involved in commerce make customers from all cultures feel welcomed and appreciated.
"We knew that our mission was important when a web development company in Siberia joined us approximately 1 month after we started," adds Weaver "The opening price point for their service was around $500, yet the average income in their area is only $350 annually. MBC is vital in connecting this company to potential clients and wealthier areas of the globe. This provides tremendous opportunities for economic growth for this company and for the surrounding area in Siberia."
Antarctica is the only continent not served by MBC. However, MBC has not found a legitimate commerce need for its penguin dominated culture.
MBC expects that its rapid membership growth will continue. The organization has taken a chapter roll out plan originally scheduled for mid-2007 and will begin establishing local chapters later this year. Initial US chapters are expected in Los Angeles and Miami. International chapters will most likely begin with Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Beirut, Lebanon, and Istanbul, Turkey. Anyone interested in founding a local chapter is encouraged to contact MBC or to visit their web site, www.mbcglobal.org.
